Nikita Dragun, a transgender influencer, has spoken out to complain about being assigned to one of the male units of the Miami-Dade Corrections and Rehabilitation Center in the wake of a Monday arrest.
Originally named Nikita Nguyen, Dragun is a biological male who chooses to identify as a woman. The person was brought into custody on Monday by police officials due to allegedly walking around a hotel pool wearing absolutely nothing. As they were approved by police officers in a hotel room, the makeup artist reportedly threw bottles of water at the officers.
“The situation with Nikita, who is legally female, being placed in a men’s unit of a Florida jail is extremely disturbing and dangerous,” explained Jack Keysoyan, a spokesperson for Dragun, to TMZ.
“This decision made by the Miami-Dade County Corrections Department directly violates their protocol, which mandates that transgender inmates are classified and housed based on safety needs and gender identity,” continued Ketsoyan.
Dragun has been “causing a disturbance for a long period of time” all while refusing to calm down, explained hotel security, as recorded in the police report.
Police officers were sent to the hotel room that Dragun was staying in, where loud music was pounding, and warned the influencer to quiet down and depart the hotel. Dragun finally chose to open the door while attacking with a water bottle, slamming it into both officers and hotel security. The social media influencer is now on the line for a charge of felony battery of a police officer, a misdemeanor battery, and a misdemeanor disorderly conduct, as reported by The Daily Beast.
This past Monday, the YouTuber put out a video and a series of pictures that seem to be from Miami. “THE DOLLS RUN THE WORLD,” claimed the caption on Dragun’s post, along side both the transgender flag emoji and a Brazilian flag emoji.
“Mami I’m [sorry],” expressed the text in the post. “I promise I am not in jail… anymore. [You] know The Dolls causing trouble trouble in Miami sister. The only place La Dragona can be treating like a real princesa. I sign a couple deals… had my first 42 shots in awhile to celebrate halloween and my [redacted] back… but u know I went to say feliz to my latin papi. [You] know how I feel about an uncut pretty gay latino.”
Other videos and photos highlight the influencer at a public pool wearing just a thong, shorts, and a crop top.
