White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre stepped forward to issue a stern warning to the American people this past Monday in which she explained that they may not find out the winners of these midterm elections “for a few days.”
There have already been a number of complaints placed throughout a few states that the process for vote-counting is taking quite a bit longer than it should, and some states have been seen to be quite a bit more effective and efficient when it comes to the process. An example of this would be Florida which, back in 2020, received some heavy praise for a bit of new technology that allowed the results to be tallied in just a few hours instead of over several days.
“When you look at what’s going on in some of the other states right now, where there is uncertainty, at least Floridians can put their heads on their pillow and know Florida got it right this time,” explained Brian Crowley, a political analyst for WPTV.
However, Jean-Pierre repeatedly stated that it could end up taking multiple days for the finalzied results for the entire country to be fully counted and verified. “I also just want to note — as you all know because you guys have covered this these past couple of years in 2022 —it took two weeks to call every state,” she stated. “In modern elections, more and more ballots are being cast in early voting and also by mail. And many states don’t start counting those ballots until after the polls close on November 8.”
She then spoke out on a warning in the same vein issued from none other than Old Uncle Joe himself: “So you heard the president say this the other night, he has been very clear on this as well: We may not know all the winners of elections for a few days. It takes time to count all legitimate ballots in a legal and orderly manner.”
“That’s how this is supposed to work, and it’s important for us to all be patient while votes are being counted,” she exclaimed. “This is not just for all of you but this is for all the folks who are watching and so I think it’s important just to remind folks that something that people should be mindful of as well.”

Back on the 2nd of Novemeber, Biden claimed, “We know that more and more ballots are cast in early voting or by mail in America. And we know that many states don’t start counting those ballots until after the polls close on November 8. That means, in some cases, we won’t know the winner of the election for a few days — until after a few days after the election.”
