This past Tuesday, Tulsi Gabbard, a former congresswoman and Democratic presidential candidate stated that she is now seeking to ditch the Democratic Party due to it devolving into an “elitist cabal of warmongers driven by cowardly wokeness.”
As the representative of the second congressional district of Hawaii after serving a total of two combat tours out in the Middle East, Gabbard issued the announcement via a video sent out via her social media early in the morning on Tuesday.

“I can no longer remain in today’s Democratic Party that is under the complete control of an elitist cabal of warmongers who are driven by cowardly wokeness, who divide us by racializing every issue and stoking anti-white racism, who actively work to undermine our God-given freedoms that are enshrined in our Constitution, who are hostile to people of faith and spirituality,” she stated.
She also claimed that Democrats had outright “demonized police” much to the benefit of criminals, weaponized the various agencies responsible for national security, pushed more open borders policies, and were pushing the U.S. quickly to a nuclear war.
“Now I believe in a government that’s of the people, by the people, and for the people. Unfortunately, today’s Democratic Party does not. Instead, it stands for a government that is of, by, and for the powerful elite,” She explained.
Her video concluded with the politician calling on independent thinks and many others to come with her in her choice to depart the Democrat Party.
Known to be a frequent and vocal critic of the Biden administration, Gabbard was a member of Congress from 2013-2021 and served as an officer in the Army reserve. She has been heavily critical of the position of the administration regarding the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war, the Department of Justice, and the issues along the border.
The former Democrat has also made sure to speak out against the overuse of puberty blockers for kids and went off on the Biden administration for their choice to support the use of the body morphing drugs.
“Now, if you haven’t heard about it, or, if you missed it, it is because the mainstream media and the Biden-Harris administration have been completely silent on it, and this warning that the FDA issued was basically saying that puberty blockers can cause serious health risks for our kids,” she stated back in July. “Unfortunately, at almost the exact same time the FDA issued this warning, Biden-Harris administration officials were making public statements actively promoting the use of puberty blockers and irreversible surgeries for kids.”
Most recently, , Gabbard set her crosshairs at Vice President Kamala Harris, stating that Harris “had no business” holding the position of next in line for the presidency of the United States because of how poorly she has dealt with the issues along the southern border.
“Kamala Harris’ statement that ‘we have a secure border’ is further evidence that she’s either completely disconnected from reality or she’s blatantly lying,” she stated. “Either way, she has no business being a heartbeat away from the presidency.”
