Angry Abortion Activists Storm And Take Over Wisconsin Capitol Building

Abortion and Planned Parenthood activists stormed the Wisconsin State Capitol building in order to scare politicians as the GOP was slated to uphold a pro-life law that will go into effect if the Roe v. Wade decision is overturned.

Governor Tony Evers (D-WI) put pen to paper on an executive order this month that called for the holding of a special session to repeal a 173-year-old ban targeting abortion, read a report from The Cap Times, highlighting, “While the governor has the authority to call lawmakers into a special session, lawmakers are not obligated to take action on any bills.”

“Whose choice? Our choice!” was chanted by a large number of protesters, estimated to be in the hundreds, inside the Capitol rotunda, standing in protest of the GOP’s expected refusal to get rid of the ban. “If we don’t get it, shut it down! If we don’t get it, shut it down! If we don’t get it, shut it down!”

“The people of Wisconsin support access to abortion! Our legislators need to listen and pass the Abortion Rights Preservation Act!” exclaimed Planned Parenthood Advocates of Wisconsin on social media while also highlighting a video of the protests.

Quite a few of the protestors were seen wearing Planned Parenthood gear and carrying the abortion provider’s signs.

Jack Posobiec, a conservative, referred to the protesters in the building as “insurrectionists,” which is a term that has been used to describe the group of Trump supporters who went into the U.S. Capitol back on the 6th of January, 2021, in order to protest the 2020 general election.

“Planned Parenthood insurrectionists scream inside Wisconsin state capital as GOP upholds 173 year-old law criminalizing abortion,” stated Posobiec in the tweet which also sported a video of the protest

Jessie Opoien, with the Cap Times, was there to cover the protests in person and labeled the assembled protesters as “Planned Parenthood/abortion access supporters.”

Despite the cacophony emanating from the protesters that had made their way inside the Capitol, the assembled Republicans in the assembly and Senate quickly gaveled in and out of the special session from Evers without even taking votes to get rid of the state’s ban on abortion.

Emilee Fannon, a reporter with CBS 58 News, also posted another video clip from the short sessions, highlighting, “Republicans [sic] inaction means if Roe is overturned, nearly all abortions will become illegal in Wisconsin.”

In the wake of the SCOTUS draft opinion about Roe v. Wade leaking back in May, violent pro-abortion activism has rapidly spread across the country.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is “investigating a series of attacks and threats targeting pregnancy resource centers and faith-based organizations across the country.”

“The FBI takes all threats seriously and we continue to work closely with our law enforcement partners and will remain vigilant to protect our communities,” stated the FBI. “We would like to remind members of the public that if they observe anything suspicious or have information about potential threats to report it to law enforcement immediately, call their local FBI field office, or submit a tip to tips.fbi.gov.”
