Conservatives Criticize Biden Comment During Military Event

On Sunday, President Joe Biden visited Naval Station Norfolk for a Friendsgiving event with military families, where an advanced screening of the movie “Wonka” was scheduled. During his remarks, Biden, known for referencing his late son Beau around military personnel, appeared to face moments of confusion when discussing military deployments.

A notable incident occurred when Biden approached a six-year-old girl, complimenting her ears and humorously asking if she was 17, seemingly in reference to her headgear. Some observers questioned the appropriateness of the comment, sparking speculation about the need for a handler in such situations.

Continuing his address, Biden recounted a story about considering joining the Naval Academy to play football, mentioning football legends Roger Staubach and Joe Bellino. However, critics pointed out inconsistencies in the narrative, such as Staubach’s graduation year conflicting with the year Biden claimed to receive a Naval Academy appointment. Questions about Biden’s military service history, including deferments and not serving, added further scrutiny.

During the event, Biden made a statement expressing his preference for liking kids more than people, a remark he has made in the past. Some found the comment puzzling, raising questions about whether he viewed children as a distinct category from “people.” Mention of Biden’s previous awkward interactions with children, including references to sniffing, added another layer of scrutiny.
