President Donald Trump entered a plea of ‘not guilty’ in federal court Thursday on charges related to his alleged mishandling of classified documents, as former first lady Melania Trump continues to support her husband, despite his legal woes.
On Wednesday afternoon, Melania donned a $6,400 Chanel shiny lambskin handbag and a pair of Manolo Blahnik pumps that retail for $745 as she strolled the Upper East Side of New York City, running errands.
In an interview with Newsmax in Bedminster, New Jersey, Trump said his wife Melania backs him ‘100 percent.’
“‘She really is, she said the other day it is just so sad what is happening to our country,’ the former president said. ‘She said it so poignantly, and sad – but she expressed it.'”
At the same location that same day, President Trump hit the driving range at his Bedminster golf club, which was hosting the Saudi-backed ‘LIV’ golf tournament – where Trump proudly spent some time autographing hats and balls, wishing onlookers a ‘Good Time.’
However, away from the golf course, prosecutors filed a new indictment in July that accused Trump and aides of a conspiracy to delete surveillance footage even after a grand jury subpoenaed the footage.
Trump was not required to be present in court Thursday, and his lawyer Todd Blanche entered his plea. Trump’s lawyers are due back in federal court in Washington, D.C. Friday morning to face off with prosecutors over a protective order.
Outside of the federal charges mentioned above, Trump faces a fourth potential indictment awaiting in Fulton County, Georgia, where police have installed barricades in preparation for possible action this month.
Meanwhile, in an effort to bring ‘all stakeholders’ to the table, the PGA Tour announced the two leagues would end suits and countersuits and negotiate on a merger of the ‘LIV’ golf tournament recently hosted by Trump’s golf courses.
Though President Trump is feeling the pressure and the strain of his legal battles, it appears as if his wife, Melania fully and unwaveringly supports him, especially judging by her fashion choices on that Wednesday afternoon.
