More Problems For Disney, ESPN Drama, Host Bought & Paid For

Sports personality Dan Le Batard took aim at ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski recently as a trade rumor involving Damian Lillard and the Miami Heat continues to swirl.

Le Batard openly questioned a recent report by Wojnarowski, which suggested that it could take weeks to months before a possible trade between the Portland Trail Blazers and the Heat materializes.

“Like it is embarrassing that Woj is telling people it might be weeks or months on Lillard,” said Le Batard on “The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz.”

The Miami-based broadcaster then posted clips that were critical of Wojnarowski on his Twitter page. ESPN contributor Domonique Foxworth initially retweeted the post before removing it.

As of now, Wojnarowski has not commented publicly about Le Batard’s criticism.

“And this is the Heat’sposition, there are no calls going back and forth. The offer is [Tyler] Herro, and Herro’s the best one you’re going to get from anybody. He’s better than [Tyrese] Maxey. He’s the best you’re going to get. You’re boxed in. Lillard wants to be with us. This is the offer,” Le Batard added.

The 33 year-old Lillard is widely regarded as one of the best point guards in the game. He is the Portland Trail Blazers’ all-time leading scorer and seven-time All-Star.

Lillard has recently requested a trade but is allegedly only interested in joining the Miami Heat. ESPN’s Wojnarowski added that Lillard’s agent Aaron Goodwin has conveyed the guard’s preference to the Trail Blazers.

Lillard, who is signed through the 2024-25 season, appeared in 58 games last year and averaged 32.2 points and 7.3 assists.

Speculation will continue to mount for the time being with no clear resolution in sight. However, one thing is certain – the Heat have a great chance of acquiring the star guard if they offer the best package that the Trail Blazers deem acceptable.

Time will tell whether Le Batard’s comments ultimately hurt or help Miami’s attempts to bring Lillard to South Beach.
