Matt Walsh, a host for the Daily Wire, went off and blasted a transgender activist for their recent announcement that a potentially illegal plan to send various hormone replacement therapy drugs to gender-confused persons that live in red states in which those drugs are regulated.
The back and forth kicked off this past Friday when a quite popular account of Twitter, Libs of TikTok, highlighted a screenshot from the Instagram page of trans activist Eli Erlick. The image highlighted was of a post, which has since been taken down as a result, stating the intentions of Erlick to give out unused prescription hormone replacement therapy drugs to anyone that lives in a state that has taken steps to block access to hormone therapy drugs for kids.
“There are over 20 states trying to criminalize hormone therapy, particularly for trans youth,” exclaimed Erlick in the now-gone post. “So my friends and I had an idea: sending out our extra prescriptions around the country. If you need hormones, I’m working with a distribution network to get you access. Everything is free, no questions asked. We have hundreds of doses of testosterone, estradiol, and spironolactone available right now. All are prescribed by doctors and unused. Each package comes with information on dosage, obtaining bloodwork, etc. I realize this is only a band-aid solution: we need full access to affirmative medical care prom professionals immediately. However, missing a single dose of hormones can be devastating (especially for trans teens and those new to hormones)! These laws are outrageous and I can’t wait for them to be overturned. In the meantime, DM me if you need HRT or if you have overprescribed hormones you’d like to send out.”
Libs of TikTok highlighted the screenshots via a social media post, along with tagging the DEA and the FBI. Erlick quickly deleted the past Friday evening, explained Libs of TikTok.
Walsh also put Erlick on blast on Twitter. “Wow @EliErlick is sending drugs to children across the country without prescriptions, parental consent, or any legal authority whatsoever,” expressed Walsh, seemingly reacting to the Libs of TikTok’s thread. “This is a crime on several different levels.”
“This is a blatant federal crime and should be reported to both state and federal authorities,” continued Walsh in the thread, posted a link ot the tip line of the FBI. Additionally, in another tweet, Walsh stated that he was reporting Erlick’s posts and actions directly to the DEA. He also dealt with quite a few personal exchanges with Erlick.
Despite the fact that he took down the post, Erlick posted screenshots of the tweet from Walsh via his Instagram account, seemingly happy with all the attention he was getting. “Thanks for the free advertising @mattwalshblog @libsoftiktokofficial,” Erlick captioned one of the posts.
“Confessed drug smuggler = cool new bio?” Erlick stated mockingly in another.
In response, Walsh went off on Erlick for essentially confessing that his now deleted plan was still running. “Eli deleted the original Instagram post but is now bragging that we’re ‘helping to advertise’ the illegal drug running operation, which is confirmation that the conspiracy to commit federal crimes is still ongoing. Lots of great evidence, all helpfully provided by Eli personally.”
As of this past Saturday via a social media post, Walsh stated that he still plans to keep pursuing this event with members of law enforcement. “By the way I’m not going to let this go,” he expressed in a post. “I’ve decided to make it my personal mission to ensure that this scumbag faces consequences for the crimes that have been confessed. Will be personally following up with law enforcement next week, as well as [UC Santa Cruz].”
“Members of protected classes may have grown accustomed to never being held accountable for anything, but I’m going to do what I can to make sure that this one at least faces the music,” he concluded.
