Florida Woman Savagely Attacked And Beaten By Student Over Confiscated Nintendo Switch

One school employee out of Florida was savagely beaten and knocked unconscious by a student in the wake of her confiscating the student’s Nintendo Switch, as reported by police forces.

A high school student, age 17, out of Matanzas High School in Palm Coast, Florida, has been quickly taken into custody and slammed with charges this past week in the wake of being accused of savagely attacking a woman that confiscated his video game system during class. The student in question, who police reported as being  6-foot-6 in height and weighing in at close to 270 pounds, has been clammed with a charge of felony aggravated battery with bodily harm.

“The actions of this student are absolutely horrendous and completely uncalled for,” exclaimed Sheriff Rick Staly out of the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office, as part of a release. “We hope the victim will be able to recover, both mentally and physically, from this incident. Thankfully, students and staff members came to the victim’s aid before the SRDs could arrive.”

Footage of the incident captured via surveillance cameras shows the woman being rushed and knocked to the ground before being savagely beaten. As reported by investigators, she was then repeatedly punched and kicked in the head roughly 15 times by the large boy while she was already unconscious. A number of people nearby moved in quickly to intervene and pulled the massive boy off of the woman, who at that point was bleeding heavily as a result of the savage attack.

“The student was escorted from the area and later placed in custody. The 17-year-old student was transported to the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility and later turned over to the Department of Juvenile Justice,” explained the Sheriff’s office in a statement.

While he was being taken into custody, the boy shouted “f*** you, I don’t want to go to jail” when questioned by an officer about if he would be cooperating with officers as they transported him over to detention. He also made the claim that he had “more important places to be.”

Police stated that before the attack took place, the large boy stated that “when he comes back he is going to kill her” and that he “will beat her up every time she takes away his game,” after the employee, who has been working with the school system since back in 2004, took away the game system.

The woman, who reportedly suffered a number of broken ribs as a result of the attack, was rushed to the hospital but has since been released.

Officials for the school have openly condemned the attack in a release and have stated that it would make sure to work to ensure the school is safe. “Creating a safe learning and working environment on our campuses is critical,” explained Superintendent Cathy Mittelstadt. “Violence is never an appropriate reaction.”
