A federal prosecutor who has been accused of interfering in the criminal investigation of Hunter Biden has recently left the Justice Department, sources have confirmed to The New York Post. Lesley Wolf, a former assistant US attorney in Delaware, has been accused of attempting to protect both President Joe Biden and his son from the investigation.
Her departure comes as the House Judiciary Committee held a deposition on Thursday morning, following Wednesday’s vote to formally authorize an impeachment inquiry into President Biden’s involvement in his son and brother’s foreign business dealings.
According to whistleblowers, Wolf played a key role in the alleged cover-up of the criminal tax fraud and foreign lobbying case. They claim she discouraged questions about “the big guy” or “dad” – references to Joe Biden – and even ordered FBI agents to remove mentions of the president from a search warrant affidavit.
Wolf also reportedly tipped off Hunter Biden’s legal team about planned investigative steps and prevented inquiries into Joe Biden, even when communications mentioned him. Two IRS agents who worked on the case, Gary Shapley and Joseph Ziegler, have testified to the House committees that Wolf hindered their investigation.
Ziegler, a self-identified Democrat and veteran IRS agent, stated that Wolf instructed FBI agents to remove references to Joe Biden from a search warrant affidavit in August 2020. He also revealed that Wolf objected to questioning a key Biden family associate about the president, saying “there’s no specific criminality to that line of questioning.”
Former MSNBC Commentator says Hunter is #Fooked in the Conviction department
Sounds like checkmate for the #BidenCrimeFamily no matter what they do. Maybe that’s why US Attorney Lesley Wolf, who has been protecting them, left the DOJ recently.

Shapley, who supervised the Hunter Biden investigation for three years, stated that Wolf had told them there was “more than enough probable cause” for a physical search warrant at Joe Biden’s Wilmington, Delaware home where Hunter often stayed. However, she questioned if the evidence was worth pursuing.
The whistleblowers also accused Wolf’s office of giving Hunter Biden’s legal team advance knowledge of a planned interview attempt, scuttling the approach. They also revealed that prosecutors did not inform them of a paid FBI informant’s tip that Joe and Hunter Biden received $10 million in bribes from Ukrainian energy company Burisma.
Wolf’s departure from US Attorney David Weiss’ office comes after he was made a special counsel in the Hunter Biden case. It is unclear when she left and on what terms. However, House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan has issued a subpoena to summon Wolf for a transcribed interview, as the Department of Justice has evaded requests for voluntary testimony.
“Weiss’ office reportedly considered letting Hunter Biden off the hook for $2 million in tax evasion before announcing a probation-only plea deal,” wrote The New York Post, adding that the first son has been re-charged with tax and gun charges in both Los Angeles and Delaware. Critics are questioning why there are no charges related to alleged violations of the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA), which would implicate Joe Biden.
With tensions rising over the Biden family’s foreign business dealings, this latest news raises further questions about the president’s potential involvement. As the impeachment inquiry progresses, the American public awaits answers on the alleged cover-up by Lesley Wolf and others in the Justice Department.
