Earlier this past week, FBI Director Christopher Wray officially confirmed that those in the bureau think that the COVID virus, which resulted in the worldwide pandemic, most likely escaped from a lab in Wuhan, China. After coming across that statement, Senator Josh Hawley (R-MO) called for those within the U.S. Government to quickly “declassify the intelligence” in relation to the origins of the COVID pandemic.
Hawley is notably not alone in his calls for additional eyes on the issue — with at least one former key Trump administration official coming from the Department of Energy is sounding the call for wholesale transparency as well. Both people seem to be correct in demanding that the public be given open access to that information in the wake of years of building and unanswered questions and odd secrecy surrounding the topic.
It has been recently reported that Wray expressed to Bret Baier with Fox News that “the FBI has for quite some time now assessed that the origins of the pandemic are most likely a potential lab incident in Wuhan.”
Wray seemingly justified that very conclusion by putting a spotlight on the fact that his agency has a number of “agents, professionals, analysts, virologists, microbiologists, etc., who focus specifically on the dangers of biological threats,” which includes but is not limited to “novel viruses, like COVID,” and the inherent dangers that such deadly diseases could end up posing.
Seemingly in reaction, Hawley expressed via social media, “Of course it was. Now declassify the intelligence and let the American people see the truth.”

As was seemingly implied by Hawley, Wray’s statement does not seem to be that surprising. After all, the theory surrounding the Wuhan lab seems to be the prime suspect to most people since all the way back in the spring of 2020.
However, the American public has been fed nothing but a stream of lies, distortions, and government-led narratives since the inception of the COVID pandemic. The pundits and various journalists that went against these narratives have all been quickly marked as crazy conspiracy theorists.
Whereas blind trust in the media and the government dropped to all-time lows over the past few years. It seems that the act of giving a complete release of information, which has been called for by Hawley, would only end up allowing the American public to come to a conclusion themselves as a way to build confidence in the truth.
