Biden Wants To Force Masking On Airplanes Once Again

Democrat President Joe Biden’s Department of Justice has started to reach out to federal judges this week in attempts to try and overturn a court order from earlier this spring that slammed the administration’s mask mandate on public transportation to be entirely unlawful.

As reported by NBC News, this appeal took place just before a deadline for court filing was set to pass. The report highlighted that “the rate of unruly air passenger incidents fell to its lowest level since late 2020 soon after the judge’s mask mandate ruling.”

“The findings in the CDC order likewise provide ample support for the agency’s determination that there was good cause to make the order effective without delay,” claimed the DOJ in its recent appeal. “None of the district court’s quarrels with the CDC order comes close to showing that the CDC has acted outside the ‘zone of reasonableness.’”

Kathryn Kimball Mizelle, a U.S. District Judge out of Tampa, ended the mandate from Biden’s administration back in mid-April, claiming in her ruling that the mandate “exceeded the CDC’s statutory authority, improperly invoked the good cause exception to notice and comment rulemaking, and failed to adequately explain its decisions.”

The ruling itself stated that the Court declared that the mandate was entirely unlawful because “our system does not permit agencies to act unlawfully even in pursuit of desirable ends.”

“The Court DECLARES UNLAWFUL and VACATES the Mask Mandate, remanding it to the CDC for further proceedings consistent with this order,” read the order from Mizelle. “The Court directs the Clerk to TERMINATE President Joseph R. Biden, Jr., as a Defendant to this action, to ENTER final judgment in favor of Plaintiffs as prescribed in this order, and to CLOSE this case.”

This plan from the Biden administration crops up after Biden failed to stop the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic as he claimed would happen throughout his entire campaign for the Oval Office.

A larger number of Americans died while under the leadership of Biden than under the previous administration despite the fact that Biden had access to multiple extremely effective vaccines to fight the pandemic as soon as he took office.

This push by the administration to reinstate masking mandates on airplanes is happening just after The New York Times brought up questions about the efficacy of mask mandates via a recent report that was sent out this week.

“In U.S. cities where mask use has been more common, Covid has spread at a similar rate as in mask-resistant cities,” read the report from The New York Times. “Mask mandates in schools also seem to have done little to reduce the spread. Hong Kong, despite almost universal mask-wearing, recently endured one of the world’s worst Covid outbreaks.”
